We had a meaningful time yesterday meeting Sheila and listening to her read the book she authored, “The Light Keeper”. At 92, Sheila is an inspiration for perseverance and being proud of your history.

In honour of JDAIM, we had the opportunity to play wheelchair basketball today. We had a meaningful time learning our way around a wheelchair and navigating how to both dribble/hold a ball and move forward at the same time. Our main takeaway was that it takes A LOT of upper body strength and concentration. We were exhausted!

And we are live with our January/February Hebrew Homework bingo board! This month, we have a new addition to our responsibilities: earning lucky ducks! These are stickers, earned weekly, which can be used to fill in a bingo square instead of completing a task. A friendly reminder that Hebrew Homework is assigned to practice skills and concepts already learned in class, and that reading should be done for 5-10 minutes as often as possible. Please be in touch if you would like a hard copy of the reading materials, as they are currently online only. Please return all homework and dark grey folder the week of February 10th. Enjoy!
